  • Quarterly Meeting 4 April 4, 2023 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Focused on the theme of Engaging Communities in STEM, this meeting captured the Network's pursuit of its new outreach and partnership strategies. The meeting provided updates and ways to get involved in the Summer Rising Provider Fair and District partnerships in Districts 4, 9, and 24. In addition, the meeting engaged our members - as its own community in STEM - in reflection and planning. As the network grows, what quality measures are necessary for our membership? How can we share information about ourselves (such as program cost) in more user-friendly ways?

    Quarterly Meeting 3 February 8, 2023 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This meeting sought to respond to requests from members to engage in more conversation around grant-writing and fundraising strategy.  Using the collegial and information-sharing space created by the STEM Network, guest speakers and members will share opportunities, pull back the curtain on the way organizations of different sizes have navigated fundraising right now, and connect with each other about fundraising strategies, challenges, and opportunities.

    Network Partnership + Outreach Strategy Office Hours January 17, 2023 | 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

The NYC STEM Education Network recently recieved grant funding from the Alfred P. Sloan foundation, supporting the Network's capacity to expand the STEM partnership and outreach strategy piloted last year through events such as the District 19 STEM Expo and Summer Rising Provider Fair.  This informal office hours session was opt-in for members looking to learn more about the new work that the grant award will support in the Network.

    Quarterly Meeting 2 December 8, 2022 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Focused on the theme of Strategizing STEM for ALL, this meeting explored how STEM partnerships and programming are operating within districts and Department of Education central offices, and what opportunities there are for individual Network members – and the Network as a whole – to advance a cohesive outreach and partnership strategy to ensure students underrepresented in STEM have access to high-quality STEM learning experiences.

    Quarterly Meeting 1 October 4, 2022 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Focused on reconnecting after summer programming, (re)introducing members to the Network’s annual cycle and activities, and sparking new connections around pressing topics, this meeting's theme was Building Camaraderie, leaning into a spirit of connection, alliance, and shared learning.
